ORTHODONTICS AT KING STREET DENTAL
Developed over the past 20 years, The FASTBRACES® Technology patented bracket design uses unique, triangular shaped braces that allow for the use of just one super-elastic nickel-titanium wire during the treatment process. This brace technology works on an entirely different mechanical principle altogether.
Historically, old braces would move the crown of the tooth in the first year, and the root of the tooth in the second year. The FASTBRACES® Technology helps move the crown and root of the teeth at the same time, from the beginning of the treatment. Patients can now get results often with less sensitivity, in about a year, and in some instances, just 3 months.
Compared to traditional orthodontic treatment, FASTBRACES® are:
- Fast – Giving you straighter teeth in as little as 20 weeks
- Comfortable – New orthodontic technology that gently moves your teeth
- Safe – Shorter treatment time means less chance of tooth decay
- Affordable - Fewer trips to the Dentist makes Fastbraces more affordable

Invisalign is the discreet, almost invisible alternative to metallic braces, brackets and wires that uses a series of clear removable aligners which are custom made to your teeth to gently move your teeth to the dazzling smile you always wanted.
With Invisalign you can easily maintain oral hygiene; eat your favourite foods after removing the removable aligners, brush and floss normally, then replace the aligners. Under normal circumstances, it is recommended that the aligners are worn 22 hours a day, with them being removed for eating & cleaning only.
Properly aligned teeth look great, lead to happy smiles, are less prone to excessive wear or damage, are more likely to stay healthy as they are easier to brush and floss and are hence, less likely to develop caries and gum disease.
